Our processes
The treatment of the wood in the sketches, the mechanical processes carried out and constantly monitored using the most advanced technologies, and the care with which the finishes are followed, allow us to guarantee a constant and long-lasting product quality.
Selection and purchasing
One of our strengths is our expertise in purchasing wood, our raw material: primarily walnut from Eastern Europe, Asia and North America.
Our suppliers submit the freshly cut wood to a process of evaporation to preserve it over time against attacks by insects and mold.
Purchasing is managed individually, selecting and evaluating each single piece, marking it with our brand.
Preparation of blanks
Aging
Blanks, appropriately stacked on pallets and aerated, complete the aging process in our warehouses.
The average aging period covers at least 18 months' demand.
Drying
Computer-controlled vacuum drying completes the stabilization of the wood bringing it to a moisture level of 8% to 10%.
Design and Shaping of Molds
The selection according to the function of the category envisioned for the finished product occurs after the planing process and before proceeding with shaping.
Mechanical processing
Prompted by the increasingly pressing needs of the market, we have provided a rigorous rationalization of production by inserting several CNC centers, adopting both specific and flexible technical solutions which enable us to respond quickly to requests.
The organization of the work and a flexible structure allows us to engage in small series production.
Sanding
New robotic technologies, used in the sanding process, are still not able to eliminate the need for manual intervention, which is still indispensable for the completion of finishing.
Learning the "craft" requires genuine passion and years of experience.
Finishing
We offer a range of finishes, all with the object of highlighting the characteristics of the wood.
Oil treatments are completely hand made within our Company.
Painting is entrusted to skilled external artisans with proven skills and experience who have been our partners for many years.
Checkering
Checkering, formerly performed by hand by skilled artisans, has largely been replaced by laser.
The versatility of the latter permits us to create the most varied designs, servicing a market which is constantly more creative.
Packaging
Quality control of the finished product is the final operation before packing.
Each piece is subjected to a rigorous visual inspection and is entrusted exclusively to the professionalism of the responsible individual.
The formation of each set requires a critical ability to "read" the colors and designs of the wood. The matching of various parts is subjective but must fulfill a harmonious overall vision.
